The Client: Goodwood, Festival of Speed
Goodwood Festival of Speed brings together some of the biggest names in motorsport, automotive brands, and enthusiasts from around the world. The challenge was to create a collection of images that captured not only the cars and drivers, but also the wider experience of the event.
The brief focused on documenting partner presence across the weekend, creating imagery that showed the atmosphere, engagement, and moments that make the event unique.
The Work
The photography combined partner-focused coverage with a more lifestyle-led approach. Alongside the cars, drivers, and on-track action, I focused on the people and details that shape the overall experience — from spectators and hospitality areas to behind-the-scenes moments with teams and drivers.
The aim was to create images that felt connected to the event rather than simply documenting what happened. This meant looking for the quieter interactions, the anticipation before a run, and the atmosphere around the paddock and partner spaces.
The Work
With multiple brands involved throughout the event, the photography needed to provide a balance between clear brand presence and natural storytelling.
The final image set highlighted partner involvement through a mix of automotive detail, guest experiences, driver moments, and environmental photography. These images were created to give partners a strong library of content that could be used across marketing, communications, and future event promotion.
The Deliverables
The project delivered a varied collection of images that captured the energy of the Festival of Speed while showcasing the role of partners within the event.
By combining motorsport photography with lifestyle and event coverage, the final gallery provided partners with a flexible set of assets designed to support continued engagement, strengthen their connection with the event, and demonstrate the value of their involvement for future years.
