The Client: Herbs & Wild

The client is Hannah Thomas, the founder of Herbs and Wild and a chef based in East Devon. Her brand is defined by a deep connection to the land, focusing on seasonal ingredients and the art of foraging. I worked closely with Hannah to capture her unique culinary identity, translating her hands-on approach to cooking and her passion for wild botanicals into a cohesive visual narrative.

The Work

The project involved a lifestyle and brand photography commission designed to visually narrate the "H&W story". The creative direction focused on an earthy and seasonal aesthetic, capturing Hannah in her element—whether sourcing ingredients from local producers or cooking outdoors on Sidmouth beach. The work emphasises her refined culinary skills alongside a grounded, rustic lifestyle, showcasing the evolution of her brand through photography.

The Deliverables

I created a library of lifestyle and food photography for use across digital and print platforms. The images refreshed the Herbs and Wild website, supported ongoing social media content, and formed part of a press kit for editorial use, including a feature in British Vogue highlighting Hannah’s wild retreats and seasonal cooking.
